75% of body is water, keep it pure

Water is an essential element next to air, to our survival. Water makes up more than two-third of the weight of the human body. The human brain is made up of 75% water, blood is 82% water &amp, lungs 90%. A mere drop in our body’s water supply can trigger signs of dehydration. Water is important to mechanics of the human body. It serves as a lubricant, it forms the base for saliva, it regulates the body temperature, it participates in the biochemical breakdown of what we eat & also helps to remove waste products through urine.

It helps prevent deadly diseases like cancer

In addition to the daily maintenance of our body, water also plays a key role in the prevention of diseases. Drinking plenty of water and other liquids may reduce the risk of bladder cancer by diluting the concentration of cancer – causing agent in urine and helping to flush them through the bladder faster. Drink at least 8 cups of liquid a day, suggests American Cancer Society. The quality of drinking water is deteriorating day by day. It is no longer as pure as it was during our forefather’s time.

All that being said, it must be noted that drinking water should always be clean and free of contaminants to ensure health and wellness.
