Water impurities and their impact

We all are aware of the fact that pollution engulfs us in a very devilish way these days, but are we really aware of the types of impurities that prevail in water and their respective impacted areas??

Explained here are such impurities.

Visible Impurities

Impurities which can be seen from naked eyes, i.e. dust, dirt, mud, and any other suspended particle present in water. These impurities are unpleasant to look & are breeding grounds for bacteria.

Chemical Impurities

This segregation includes chemicals like chlorine, smell, color, bad taste & gasses present in water.

Microbiological Impurities

These include living organisms like bacteria, viruses & cysts. These spread the diseases like jaundice, cholera, diarrhoea, typhoid, etc.

Dissolved Impurities

Those impurities which are soluble in water like salt, arsenic, lead, fluoride, iron, pesticides, and calcium & magnesium, etc. When all these kinds of impurities co-exist in our world, we are impacted, but which areas are most affected by these (or any other form of water impurity) ??

Most affected areas

UP, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Assam, Manipur, Imphal, Punjab & some other parts of Chhattisgarh. Parts of these states are affected by arsenic, whose long-term exposure can cause skin cancer, lung cancer, bladder cancer and can affect kidney as well.

With all those facts in light, be aware of your surroundings, and know the existing impurities, because only then you’ll be able to decide the prevention steps.
